I mess with Coko heavy but you got Cindy, Dawn, and Terry fukked up lol.
nikkas wildin in this thread. I know En Vogue was the last of the old school vs where music was when xscape/swv/total was hittin so it’s easy to downplay them/their older style, but they all can rock with coko

I would more or less go with this …Total made the type of songs and vibe I rocked with probably the most because it was so hip hop influenced

Vocally En Vogue just off the strength of Terri And Cindy is whipping everybody ass

Xscape was nothing without Latocha
SWV for sure had hits
And I have no idea who was the lead singer of Total but none of them broads could sing
they had bops tho and Keisha is fine

Latocha's sister could sang too. "Who Can I Run To" is proof of that.

Personally...

Total
SWV
Xscape
En Vogue

Culturally (and in the moment ((I was a kid))

En Vogue - (had the clout and the aunties)

SWV - (had the young "hip" aunties/OLDER cousins)

Xscape - older cousins

Total - changing of the guard, slightly older than me cousins, and a little closer to what I remember, in my early EARLY teen era

I think En Vogue peaked the highest
SWV was most consistent
Xscape was jd on his west coast vibe but I might put them above total but it's 50/50 really.... 3 and 4 are arguable

En Vogue
SWV
Xscape
Total

If we’re counting joints written for others Xscape is probably #1.

It's crazy that Total only had two albums, but the joints they had made it seem like they had 3-4 albums when you count the features:

Juicy
Can't You See
No One Else
Kissing You
Kissing You (remix)
Loungin (LL joint)
Hypnotize (Biggie)
What About Us
Trippin
Sitting Home
I Can't (Foxy joint)
Sittin Home (remix featuring Shyne)
