The hobby part is right I’ve been sober for 7 months 3 days/217 days. After week 2 or 3 it’s easy just got to keep busy and focus on whatever ur doin. I don’t even think about drinking really and I was a crazy ass drinker. Went to AA had a sponsor and all that for like couple months and found it wasn’t for me. But just take it 1 day at a time it will get easyyou need new hobbies and goals.
sounds like your social circle is nothing but normies that do nothing but drink on the weekend.
I quit weed 2 weeks ago.
the only issue I had was sleeping the first week.
me wanting to accomplish something made this process not that big of a deal to me

If you're in your 20s, just enjoy your life. What's wrong with having drinks with your friends as a young man?
got any ulcers? i did damn near every drug under the sun and i feel it now that im olderI was a heavy drinker in my 20's
Literally an alcoholic. I would wake up in the morning and buy shot after shots of dark liquor to be inebriated.
It was fun however I'm pretty sure my liver is fukked
Had to minimize the hard liquor since it gave me dysphagia. Now I just occasionally drink beer
I mostly just smoke weed
OP you have to learn mental discipline. These vices don't control you only you control yourself. The first stages of sobriety will be difficult but after a while, your health will thank you.
Blaming Instagram for his drinking habits…That excuse is a weak ass Gen Z influence. There ain’t shyt you can tell me about substance abuse champ. Stop coddling dude.Plenty of people have struggled with alcohism. It isn't a gen z problem.
