I wouldnt be the best at it but from my understanding he has gotten millions donated to him from insurance to his pac and all of a suddenly residents insurance has basically tripled in last couple years.. Many have called him out on it, even trump as I guess they were going head 2 head

also, you are describing jobs that have stagnant wages, for the last 20 years, probably more. nflation is tightening up around people's monthly expenses, and taking a cumulative toll 18 months into inflation. Wage growth in most sectors isn't keeping up with inflation, but def. the ones you mentioned. it's like a fixed income.

actually, have a homie like that too, she's on point with mortgage, as far as I know, but lost her job, and isn't going to make as much going forward. She's in dental hygenine. The thing with those jobs, is that there is a hard ceiling. I remember I thought she was so on point and together like 15 years ago. And she kinda of is, but inflation has hit people hard, along with normal COL going up in most places.

Yes wages are stagnant and down here they are even worst because there really is no industry but tourism and hospitality which is notorious for lower wages. I know someone who is a nurse but works for state which pays very poorly, now mind you I know alot of nurses who are EATING, had one who had a local travel gig pulled in 220k last year, helped her get another airbnb before they try to pull the plug on that, I was like .. Go back to state worker like you need to get on, she worried about getting vested, im like who cares you making 50k messin with the state, you wasting time. But then she also getting just under 2k for child support but baby daddy aint shyt huh

Ins companies generally don't cover flood, the Fed does that.

But... flood maps haven't been updated, can't be updated fast enough with climate change, and a lot of the damage that they should cover (wind/wind peril), the insurance companies say was flood. After decades of litigation, they might pay out... maybe....

I mean a lot of insurance companies ain't been financially right since Katrina TBH.

So they a lot of them pull out.
A lot of them 4x the rate. Insurance might rival mortgage payments.

The real kicker is that a lot of Floridians are on fixed incomes.

DeSantis, and any governor really, can work with the legislature to have the state insure these homes...but that's socialism.

When I did poke and prod was given answers like its lower stress, flexibility, ability to work from home half the time, etc. I think its one of those situations where ambition is low and they have income streams from other places so they soo pressed. Im like you can quadruple your main income, you need to go get it while the opportunity is there..
