Hahah and here's another of my current fixations, on digital communication,
the answer is maybe. As people look more and more to texting/messaging to convey status, affection, attraction, it gets very very demanding and confusing as people are often creating scenarios and rules based on their communication, that probably wouldn't apply in person.
Depending on who this person is to you, look at like this, if she walked into the room right now, would she hug you and laugh?
like you going to makeout with me in person, and ghost me on text? How do you process that? Think the key is being clear about your feelings for the person, and not making it all depend on text, which, when you think about is fukking laughable. Like imagine trying to explain to someone from 50 years ago about texting and emojis.
