Really there isn't a deep answer to this other than to put yourself out there and give yourself room to fail and forgive yourself when you do. If you see something that's your type, always remember that she's going to be keeping her options 100% of the time so you should do the same.

my ex got it and the smell was horrendous like you I soldiered on for a while until one night after I caught a whiff from doing doggy style. I had to tell her. No woman wants to hear she smells so it was touchy at first.
But she took it well and booked a GP appointment and got some antibiotic medication. And everything went back to normal.
So either that or she’s a real nasty chick
