For other posters reading, the reason i phrased it like this comes down to what i was saying in my previous post about the balance between not being needy yet still charming and inviting. Basically it's subtly telling the girl you are willing to walk away cause if she's not down, another one just as bad or badder will be. But there is no bitterness, no hurt because at the same time you are stroking her ego and being funny/light hearted about it. Plus you are making it clear you want to hit without putting out the relationship vibe and showing that while you respect her decision and won't force it, you will not compromise on what you want. Finally, the last sentence puts the ball in her court where she has to make the next move or risk losing you (a man who is charming yet not needy who probably gets a lot of women sprung) forever. It hits multiple sides of her ego at the same time in just a couple of sentences.
