Those two main points only worked for me until I finally saw the season finale. Which is what made the series not so interesting to me. Basically it was interesting because I couldn't tell what was gonna happen, rather than the script being "so well written" or anything.
It was like watching a strung out version of "There Will Be Blood"...which is hard to enjoy because it's too realistic. So the shorter these kinds of films are (for me at least) the better 'cause you gotta pack the not so boring parts closer together.
---By the way, I'm using the term realistic here to mean "boredom and frustration that can be found in real life depicted in film without any insight and expansion on the author's part."---
I really can see how a lot of people wouldn't rock with this series. Because to me this type of series only works for people who're highly curious not about human interactions but by cases and human obsession.
