i agree it is his weakest movie, but i actually kinda liked the girls running their mouths the whole time. even bad QT delivers dialog that is at least interesting or fun, even if not meaningful or skillful
It probably is but worst Tarantino film is like the worst blowjob you've ever had :obama:

I refuse to agree with this. It might be at the bottom of his list of movies.. but it is in no way a bad movie. I love that flick. I love QT dialog and Death Proof was perfect for someone like me who just liked listening to people talk for an hour and 45 minutes.

BTW.. Death Proof is way better than Planet Terror as well.

I actually prefer it over Inglorious Basterds which I know most will disagree with.

The reason why I prefer it is it seems these days with every Tarantino film he's trying to make the most epic, career defining film of his career. It's like Kill Bill, Basterds and Django are all trying to be his Once Upon a Time in the West. I'm getting tired of his bloated, self-indulgent "masterpieces".

Death Proof is the opposite of that. It's a trashy, throwaway film. It has no pretensions of being a classic or career defining. Is it a great film? Not at all, but it feels a little looser and more instinctive than Basterds. It's closer to his 90s films in tone than his recent Sergio Leone/Corbucci homages.

I actually like Death Proof. I like the fact that it has a slow buildup to an awesome ending. It has a lot of dialogue, but most Tarintino films do.

I still thought it was good. Not as good as his other films, but good nonetheless. That shows you how good he is when a movie like that is your worse movie. That would still be a best movie for a shytload other directors.

It was decent. I never feel the urge to watch it over again tho like most his movies.

I remember seeing grindhouse on opening night, there were like 8 people in the theatre. Thanksgiving trailer had me rollin', and planet terror was coo too, imo underrated.

It wasn't bad really as much as Planet Terror was really dope. Tarantino should have focused more on Stuntman Mike because Kurt Russell killed it in that movie.
