lmao@a mongoose. Pythons are constrictors so the immunity to venom that give mongooses the advantage over Cobras means nothing against a big ass python. smh, I swear people that own snakes are dikkheads. How stupid do you have to be to release a foreign species into your local ecosystem? The moment some backwoods cac babies get snatched up is when they'll decide to get serious.
They been serious about it for years. They've dumped a lot of money and manpower into it, but it's not working. They have no natural predator they can introduce, they breed rapidly, and they're hard to kill because there nocturnal and they stay hidden underwater or under vegetation.

They made this big thing about putting bounties on pythons and having a hunt earlier this year and it was an epic fail. Theyonly killed 68. :heh: Some estimates say they their numbers in the everglades areup to 180,000. It's funny because reasontv.com and other libertarian-types were hyping it up talking about how the government had failed and the python hunt would be introducing free market solutions. And it flopped. Another L for libertarianism.

lmfao, I'm sure they expected the government to genetically engineer giant Honeybadgers that could do battle with these invading creatures.

We need another freak winter like the one a few years back. We had record lows down here. The iguanas disappeared in a matter of weeks. bytches were just frozen in place. I know the Central Americans feasted well off of that.

They really are. They buy these things as pets, then realize they can't take care of them, but instead of having the guts and common sense to kill the damn things, they release them into the wild.

dikkhead White Owner: "Well, how can I kill it? it was like part of the family. The humane thing is to release it into the wild"

The rest of us: :whoa:
Dumb, irresponsible people with dangerous animals is never a good thing. Like these pieces of shyt who are now in prison where they belong.

Reptiles go into the ground during the cold and survive though.

Menace to society.
Chamillionaire could rap about pythons killing off the rabbit and racc00n population but no one would listen. Not even me. :manny:
The pythons are going to run out of animals to eat, and that's when they are going to look outside of the Everglades. All those old people in the retirement communities... later gramps ... you're gonna be snake food. It's going to be an epidemic.
But on the positive side, it will also create job openings. Hunting pythons, selling their skin and meat. Cash money.

lol, I'm sayin what are the predators that commonly go after these things? I bet a team of komodos could get in they ass but pythons are serious off their strength and quick ass bite. shyt's crazy, you got all these jerks putting rhinos and big cats on the brink of extinction when they should be in Florida takin out these big gangsta snakes.

The invasive species weren't used to that much cold though. It was a freak winter by South Florida standards, there were record lows be in broken everyday. The iguanas dawn near got completely wiped out. The snakes had a better survival rate but they still got that work from mother nature.

"Our scientists believe that 50 percent of the population of Burmese pythons was decimated with the recent cold snap," declares Pat Behnke, chief spokeswoman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, with evident relief.

They don't have any real natural predators. Large crocodiles and big cats like lions, tigers, and pumas can kill and eat them but they're not natural predators. They just get into scraps if they get too close to each other, or if they're desperately hungry. They generally like to avoid each other.

What if they created fake rabbit and racc00n decoys filled with snake poison? I mean, the snakes would eat them and then die. Regular people would not eat the decoy rabbits and racc00ns.
