Burmese python.
They estimate that there's tens of thousands of them in the everglades. The state has put a lot of money into trying to get rid of them but has been unsuccessful. They even did apython hunt with bounties that attracted hunters from all over and it was an epic fail.
Now they're saying they're worried about increasing numbers of African rock pythons in the everglades, which are even bigger and meaner than Burmese ones.

Pythons are constrictors so the immunity to venom that give mongooses the advantage over Cobras means nothing against a big ass python. smh, I swear people that own snakes are dikkheads. How stupid do you have to be to release a foreign species into your local ecosystem? The moment some backwoods cac babies get snatched up is when they'll decide to get serious.
Here in Canada they are wiping out children.

We had this happened down here. A python was found burst in half, young-adult gator found inside, and the python was missing its head.

They really are. They buy these things as pets, then realize they can't take care of them, but instead of having the guts and common sense to kill the damn things, they release them into the wild.
