If the Knicks continue to lose ... Blake for Melo might actually become a thing by the Trade Deadline

:snoop: :francis:

Does the NBA have an Agent of the Year award?

:banderas: he deserves it.

Whoever that Andy Miller guy is, he'll forever be good in my book :wow:

:ohhh: Just looked online, he also represents KOQ, Teague, KG, Kyle Lowry.

KP really isn't ready to be a full time C and Blake is a PF to the core. So your best prospect and your superstar would both be PF's while your biggest FA acquisition would be a C. I don't think we should move Melo for any PF's...but I don't think we should move him at all tbh, dude was playing the best ball of his life (only two periods are in the running with this one) before a referee injured him...a referee...I can't get over it.

He's 31

The ref injured his ankle and it's Knee that's keeping him out.

Blake's passing will complement KP and KP being able to strech the floor will help Blake Operate inside.

Remember when I said Afflalo doesn't create shots for others...tonight glorified that statement

Only he had 4 assists and passed the ball 47 times, 3rd to only Lowry and Gallo. That's more passes than 'Melo makes per game. No need to lie on that man.

Both Fish and Melo said the soreness in the knee is a result of the ankle injury and favoring that leg. He was literally unstoppable before the ref injury, it's no coincidence that he hurt his ankle and played extended minutes on it before the soreness set in. 31 playing the best ball of his career, period...he wasn't playing regressed ball, as soon as his legs were back he was scoring efficiently while passing and rebounding at rates that matched his career high. When he regresses, talk age, but until then, that's a speculative argument only.

Neither of them can guard C's all game. Melo operates from mid to long range which allows KP to be both a stretch AND interior presence because KP is better playing inside the three point line right now. Blake's passing might compliment KP, but Melo's passing was already doing that.

I feel you, but this was the stretch for us to make a run and put space between ourselves and the guys fighting for an 8th seed...with Melo healthy, 2-6 is at minimum 4-4 imo but I think it's probably better than that.

I think there's still plenty of time for that separation. Yes, Miami is healthy and Boston seems to have gotten their act together, but Orlando is still tanking, Indy struggling, Wiz still struggling, last I checked the Bulls were still struggling and with Rose still in and out of the lineup, it's not helping them.

What do you mean by the bolded?

Kats inventing narratives because for some odd reason, they just don't want to admit that they don't like him, no matter what he does.

Yeah, I think we still have plenty of time to get a playoff berth. But this was the window to push into the 4-5-6 chase instead of the 7-8 chase. It's still possible to go on a run of course, but the division is all but out of reach now and we've gotta make up 5 games to get into comfortable playoff position. We're looking more like walking on eggshells now.

On the bolded We're 2-6 in the most recent stretch of 8. I think we should at least be 4-4 in that span, probably better considering how well Melo was playing.

I think you need to give this up. This team, as constructed is not good enough to be a 4 or 5 seed. They don't have the depth, they don't play enough defense... they just aren't good enough.

This kind of mentality is what leads to teams trading away future first round picks for Jeff Teague. This is a rebuilding year, but the knicks should be in no way desperate to make the playoffs, or make some kind of unrealistic push.

I have to agree with @I.V.

I believe, in alot of people's view, we've ecslipsed the consensus on success for this season. NO ONE thought we'd be in a position to playoff hunt.

People thought they'd be able to come into our thread and be on some Amber Rose shyt straight violating us by trolling about how we are in the lottery hunt without a draft pick.

Come to think about it...Coli-Related- Which one of us would have thought we'd be in a position to purchase a 5 Room Condo in the ATL thread and ethering them at will. :wow:

We are playing with house money. And if we do make serious trades..the pressure would then be on about being successful this year.
