North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Hahn's said this so much at this point, a dynamic PG would put us at a very comfortable spot

The bad news is, they probably won't get one in next years draft (won't have a high enough pick probably) and the free agent class is doo doo not to mention they don't have any realistic trade options. If the Knicks are lucky they will get that PG just as Doomzingis takes his game to the next level making Melo the 2nd scoring option.

But see, "Melo is untradeable anyway" is irrelevant.

If he is or isn't or only on 2k...for me, it doesn't matter.

I like Melo, we aren't winning a chip this year or next anyway and we have cap.

I'm not on a hypothetical trade Melo bandwagon. Miss me with it regardless.

Sadly Melo's championship fate was sealed the moment he demanded a trade to NY. The Knicks gave up too much to get him and was never able to build a legit team around him in the middle of his prime years. Now he's wasting more years as they rebuild. He was all about the money. He could've easily went to Chicago but chose the $$$$. By the time the Knicks are a legit contender, Melo will more than likely be the 2nd or 3rd option on offense. He might even be playing power forward by then.

:wtf: Wtf is Cacstop @CantStop in here tellin up how to run #Knickstape for?!

Our group would run circles around any Stanbase in the coli! This thread wouldn't be interesting at all if everyone had the same damn opinion . Dudes come in here with ideas everyday and we discuss that's the fukkin point. Everyone brings their own point of view and everyone learns about the team and basketball. Our threads always live as shyt during games, can't say that about other stanbases. Go back to ur thread and go argue about when the coke head will finally go or make threads about Russell having a good 3 games.:camby:

you guys are a pathetic fan base.

laker fans would never treat Kobe like this. even in his darkest days we are stanning him.

Melo deserves better.

First you guys put Lin above him and now Porzingis(mind you, grabbed 7 rebounds at 7'3...grab less boards than your height brehs and had 5 tos). this is embarrassing

@KologeroBx you need to rally your troop. I wouldn't let this go down.
You're comparing Melo to Kobe? :mjlols:

You're right. Kobe has at least the accolades and rings to deserve the praise he gets from. If Melo was playing like Kobe this season, he'd get booed out of LA but Melo is in NY where they are used to losers, give him some damn respect and stop acting like y'all deserve better.

Knicks fans, especially in here are so damn reactionary, just like @23Stapscity said. Fans treated Ewing the same way. Dude is averaging 21 & 7, yet he's trash :mjlol:

Knicks fans got annoyed with Ewing because even as late as 2001 he still wanted to be the focal point of the offense.

Knicks fans are mad because it looks like Melo can't even lead a team to an 8th seed in the east :mjcry:

I never thought I'd live to see the day you compared Melo to Kobe.

This would be like me comparing David Lee to Tim Duncan, damn Cant...just damn.

He's shooting 41% on the season and the most troubling part is that he's at 49% from 0-3 feet of the basket which is a career low and for perspective elite finishers convert around 60% there. If he can't regain his lift he's not the same player, you keep putting your fingers in your ears and going "lalalala".

He's turning 32 next year and is coming off knee surgery, at what point do you start to get it that he may not ever be the same guy? And he's no longer even a top 3 guy at his own position, Kawhi, Paul, KD and Bron are all better. You're planning around a dude that isn't top 10 and talking about him like he's some once in a lifetime untradable dude in his early 20s, that shyt is insanity.

I'm telling you man, that 54 win season got knicks fans thinking crazy because of how bad the franchise has been post Ewing.

He is going to have about the same impact on the game that an Allan Houston had and the Knicks are going to pay heavy for it. My biggest fear is that if they don't find someone to take him now it will cost them in free agency.

Why does every loss put this thread straight into its feelings :beli:

The direction the Knicks are going they don't need Melo to be the 28 and 7 guy. They need the 25 and 5 guy who gives timely and clutch buckets, which he is still capable of doing. His jumper is still wet and he can still create space with his footwork and his body. Also why trade Melo when the Knicks wouldn't get anything great in return? I'm not tryna get Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott and a draft pick for Melo foh :camby:

All he has to do is adjust his game to his current level of physicality. If he's lost some athleticism then he needs to slow his game down and become more efficient in his movement a la MJ/D Wade/Paul Pierce in their later years. I think he'll be fine.

People acting like we are the 6ers or nets . Melo isn't playing at his best ever but he's shown some flashes and his presence helps the team . Plus we aren't getting Westbrook or curry so why we rushing to trade melo
