Not really sure what to expect this year out of the Knicks.
It really comes down to how Melo and Rose play together. Rose is a great passer, but that can potentially be wasted if Melo decides to hang on the wing and eat the ball whenever he gets it thrown his way. Ball movement is so crucial here man and it needs to be emphasized immediately for us to have any sort of shot at a nice playoff run.
Also can't have Rose trying to drop 20+ a night either, he is just not that player anymore regardless of how well he played in stretches last year. A consistent breakdown I think the knicks can work with is Melo with 22-24 per game working within the flow of the game and be the finisher he can be. Rose and KP with 15-16 per game and the others contributing as much as possible. Also, outside of Melo I am not sure I want Rose and KP to shoot too many 3 pointers this year. We aren't the warriors...and I don't care that the rest of the NBA has fallen in love with the 3 point shot.
Jennings is at 35% for his career which is not bad.
Rose Career 3 point percentage is 30
KP shot 33%
If Noah can be half of what he was on defense then we have a fighting chance at a top 5-6 seed....maybe. Jennings should be able to provide a nice spark as well.
Cleveland
Toronto
Indiana (should have beaten the raptors last year)
Miami
Chicago
Those 5 should finish ahead of us in the east and Boston will likely fight with us throughout the year as well. Washington is too unpredictable to count on them and who knows what is going to happen with the Hawks.
Low Key the East has improved significantly despite the west having 2 of the top 3 teams in the NBA.
