Damn it's a cold world. Galloway was def my favorite knick :to:

I understand the move though. Jennings is a starter, despite how terrible his shooting percentage is. If Rose goes down with another season ending injury, at least you know what you're getting with Jennings, as opposed to "hoping" Galloway is ready to start and lead this team.

It makes sense on paper.

Should've, but it's done now and no point in thinking about it. It's been an okay offseason otherwise, with potential to be a good or terrible one depending on how things break during the season:manny:
Noah wants to be here and has something to prove .BB hasn't had a consistent career

If healthy Noah is easily 10/10/4 with DPoY defense, I really hope Jo can stay healthy a lot is riding on him :mjcry:

Also, he helped us get Courtney Lee :wow:

Teams are going to have hell scoring on KP/Noah, shyt KP/Lopez was a twin towers at times for us last year had us 10th in the league in opponents FG%.

Jennings wanted to be a Knick since draft night '09 that achilles injury was a set back but I think he can be that 6th Man for us.

He's an underrated playmaker (8 assists per 36 minutes) last year, he attacks the glass for a PG, and he can create his own shot and has microwave scoring ability.

Just hoping we can get Lance and Galloway back, and get some solid veterans for the minimum to fill out the bench.
He balled out in Det after j smith got traded hopefully he gets back to that form

I really don't like the Noah move, the others have been decent to good (Rose was a great gamble), but this is a win now team and you've basically thrown all hopes of pairing Porzingis with a player he can grow with right out the window. They better make it deep into the playoffs with this team for the next few years....
Why can't he grow with Noah? All the expectations you had with Lopez, you can still have with Noah.... actually it'll probably be better now than with Lopez

I like the Rose trade a lot, if he works out you extend him, if not you can just let him walk.

Noah though was just a head scratcher to me, there were better younger options on the market that went for right around the same or less.

Lee is a solid 3 & D SG, Jennings is now in his correct role, which is off the bench. I like 3 of the 4 Knicks moves, the Noah one is a huge gamble, more so than Rose because of the years they gave him.
I'm confused... Are you expecting Kristaps to remain our power forward? They signed Noah knowing that he'll slide over to the bench in year 3 or 4. You sign a young big your stunting potential KP growth at the 5. They're gonna put Noah on a minutes restriction for health reasons and to put KP at the 5. It's a strategic move.

Easily is a stretch. His numbers in the regular season aren't what you expect from a starter and Noah's defense is still good
Both have been pretty terrible offensively the past two years, but whenever Biyombo got pt he had the better impact because he's damn near an elite defensive player, while Noah is still good, not fantastic. He might not have the numbers on his side because he wasn't gonna get pt over Jefferson and Valanciunas, but whenever he was called on he played like a starter, and put up starter type numbers; and I'm not just talking about his recent playoff run, when he took over for Jefferson a couple seasons ago after he got injured, Biyombo stepped in and helped the Hornets to a bunch of wins during that stretch( it was when I first took note of him, and I was the first one saying in the Knicks threads that Phil should sign him).

Well, if you're strictly looking at his ppg, Biyombo doesn't look that appealing. But he's the more young (24 years old this summer), athletic (shot 54% from the field and finished from 0-3 FT with a 64 FG% in the last two years) and durable (only missed 18 games the last two years) option at the C than Noah is the moment and for the duration of the contract. Not to mention that Big Biz is already an elite rim protector/defensive player and elite rebounder for the minutes he plays. Porzingis and Biyombo makes the Knicks an automatic top ten defensive even with defensive liabilities like Rose and Anthony.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

I didn't have any expectations for him with Lopez :russ: There were better & younger centers on the market some of which could defend PF's in the future.

:mindblown:

Explain how that's someone that can grow with Kristaps if you're eventually going to have to replace your C, with a PF? Your rationale is to sign a washed up C, because he'll be coming off the bench 3 years from now? That doesn't even make sense, because he's not being paid like someone that will be coming off the bench. And his injury history and the questions surrounding his body aren't "3 to 4 years" from now, who knows how much longer he'll be able to start.

Ok... My point is that he's arguably better than a healthy Noah...and it is debatable to even say that. A healthy Noah is still a better offensive player because of his excellent passing and a great defender.

You didn't say anything wrong in this post. Noah was still the better option even with the bad contract he's getting. The fact is Biyombo only fits on this team defensively. Offensively, Noah isn't required to be near the basket to be effective due to his great passing ability. Secondly, Biyombo being a young starting center next to KP means you've decided to permanently halt his growth as a center. The reason Lopez was a great signing was because he allowed us to see KP at center when he wasn't playing well, or when we didn't have a great matchup. You get Biyombo he'll get most of the minutes at center regardless of who's on the court. Noah allows us to build our future while still being competitive AND without giving up too much defensively. I don't like contract, but the move makes sense if you're trying to build KP as our future center
