If Melo signed with D-Rose and Noah in 2014, people would call that team a contender.

After KP I got trust in Phil
Ive always really liked Noah as a player, and they must think he's still got enough to do what we need him to do. If nothing else he's a fiery vocal leader that gives our team personality. Lord knows Melo and Rose aint that.
I dont get people saying we need to fill out our bench. We have solid bench players, they just were expected to do way too much in the past few years. I'm not saying we're a title contender, but I cant be mad if we're competitive and in the playoffs.
Lot of dudes talking sideways like it's a waist of time if we're not title contenders. That shyts just not in the cards for us in the short term. We need to build a winning culture before we even entertain the idea of becoming a title contender. The reason we have zero shot at KD is because we've been garbage. Need to turn that around first to be viable for a player who will take us to the next level. Who knows, maybe in time KP can be that.
I just hope the Noah contract isn't a long one. Can't imagine it will be.

These 3 numbers are significant in they are the total amount of games Jason Kidd, Kenyon Martin, and Rasheed Wallace, respectively, played in the year before joining the Knicks for the 54 win season w/ Melo.
Rose is on an uptick having played 60+ and played efficiently post allstar break in '16. Noah has only played 29 total games last year.
I'm hoping that the combined effort of the final roster and the pride in NY will propel the 2017 team to a similar success...minus a J.R Smith momentum killing elbow to Jason Terry.

We definitely need some sort of scoring from the bench.
And that year we were ranked 28th offensively and in the playoffs Nene and the Wiz shut us down by giving Noah 5 feet at the top of the key and shutting down the passing lanes.
And in the playoffs last year the Bucks/Cavs got to play 5 on 4 on defense and have Noah's guy play safety.
