I'm interested in people's opinion of Phil Jackson's ability to accomplish the seemingly impossible task of helping Melo get a chance to make some noise in the East while at the same time prepare for Porzingis' future - especially if Bazemore(or Crabbe) and Biyombo were to be the signings this offseason.

It would seem that, considering the limited flexibility he was gifted, he's on his way to accomplishing both.

Just thinking of that lineup [Rose, Bazemore, Melo, Porzingis, Biyombo]**, also realizing that Rose's contract goes off the books in 2017, understanding Biyombo & Baze would be part of a young core with Kris, AND we have our picks moving forward... This would be a hell of back to back offseason.

** Sidenote: Any one else get a feeling of unreasonable excitement posting potential lineups. I swear I love doing that shyt.

Exactly fam. It'd bring in talent that can outlast Melo but give us a puncher's chance right now (the chance coming down to one of Melo or Rose hitting prime form or KP making a star leap). The chances for buyer's remorse would be lessened with younger cats that can stay healthy too as opposed to collecting older or injury prone names that have been floated. I been saying it's possible to build for KP without killing any shot at a title for half a season, I think that build would work to appease both contingents of fans (the keep Melo and win or the build for KP) of Knicks fans.

And yeah, building dream line-ups is fun as hell especially when the cap space makes them actually possible.

My bad brehs...I started this geography issue by stating that KP and Mozgov had a Russian connection.

So I did a little light research.

KP is from Liepaja, Latvia. This is a city in western Latvia. The 3rd largest city in the country.

Latvia is closer to Russia than Lithuania. FYI.

There was a Soviet occupation of Latvia in 1940. In 1991, Latvia gained its independence from the USSR. In 2007, a border treaty was ratified.

In short, Latvia and Russia are close in proximity...but by no means would that mean that they are fam.
