The Hawks don't seem like a threat to NY at all. NY was on a back-to-back, shot like trash (almost all of them), turned it over a ton (most of which was from ghost travels and phantom and touch fouls being called on them), had the refs against them, and still found the strength to punk Atlanta on the boards, dig themselves out of large holes over and over again, and give themselves a chance to win after a hard fought, defensively intense blowout last night. Yes, they took (and missed) some terrible shots tonight, but for the most part, they missed great looks. They won't always shoot that poorly (a lot of which was from refs letting Atlanta get away with mauling them at the rim and illegal screens) and they won't always let their opponents shoot 50% from the field (most of which was from the refs not allowing NY to defend them). It looks like NY could beat Atlanta with who they have healthy now. Good thing they won't have to because 'Melo will be himself at some point (his ability to drive more than he could before is a great sign) and other guys will get healthy. In my view, NY showed they are a very good team. My $0.02. Y'all scared of Atlanta?

Fisher need to stop fukking around and tell Calderon he have to come off the bench. I don't care about him being a nice guy and he's a veteran. Grant or Galloway could easily do more with his minutes.

Here's my issue why the fukk should Calderon come off the bench? Just sit his ass until some team needs to replace a PG and get some second rounders and expirings for him.
:yeshrug:

2/14 isn't even that bad a contract anymore:jbhmm:

The worse thing that can happen is he gets heavy minutes and gets injured and can't be traded.....Again

He played well for 4 of the 6 preseason games. If they weren't motivated, they would have continued to get blown out. You can blame 'Melo if you want, but it won't change the fact that almost all of them played like trash on both ends and that isn't 'Melo's fault. Kris has been trash since day he was drafted and he seems to be teflon. I saw a team that fought as best as they could.

:whoa:
He's a rookie and skinny as hell. Have some compassion.
:dwillhuh:

Also Melo started to get hot in the end.... Even if it was garbage time. I think he isn't in shape more than anything. The first Pre-Season game he looked like a Gawd out there. Then I think he's been progressively more tired. Especially considering the fact they are asking him to play defense on 3's (which he's done a pretty damn decent job doing) he's contributed in other ways.
:ehh:

Phil has been damn good as a GM. If Calderon is the problem I have faith he can move him
