The Memphis Grizzlies have grown concerned about the possibility of Mike Conley leaving in free agency.
Conley can sign up to a five-year, $124 million max contract with the Grizzlies, while rival teams can max him out on a four-year, $92 million deal.
The Grizzlies plan on using a video featuring part-owner Justin Timberlake as part of their recruiting pitch to Conley.
Marc Gasol re-signed with the Grizzlies last offseason and didn't even take meetings with rival clubs.

See, I'd be wary with this. Your giving up grant, a younger player who still has much growth, for rose whose had 2 acl(?) injuries and on the decline just for some picks. I don't see Phil making this type of move. It's gonna happen brehs, Conley for the max. Brace yourselves now, and be less disappointed later
Apparently Derrick Rose has been getting shopped heavily lately, and if the Bulls are content with just finding someone who can absorb salary, and a second rounder or two, I'd rather take a chance on Rose than sign Conley for a max. It's a bit more of a risk/reward thing with Rose(obviously), but he played well down the stretch last year and only has a year on his contract left. But like I said though, only for next to nothing would I do a trade for him.
Edit: realistically I assume they'd ask for Grant back at least.
According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Rondo and his agent are looking for a 4-year deal in the neighborhood of $50 million dollars. The Kings have the cap space to match that demand, but whether they are willing to go that high salary-wise or for that many years with Rondo is a completely different question.
Why would you have to give up Grant to get Rose?
Bulls would give Rose for free if they could. Rose has 2 years left unless he has an opt out
Does it really blow your mind, breh?this thread is full of people who are willing to keep making and whining about the same mistakes over and over... it just blows my mind
If it was up to me I'd go for younger players in F.A., make Grant the starting pg, try to trade Melo and try to tank for a pick; but since it isn't it up to me I'm trying to frame my ideas based on the direction I'm assuming the Knicks front office will take this offseason. They may not be ideal solutions, I'm just trying to make the most of things I suppose.this thread is full of people who are willing to keep making and whining about the same mistakes over and over... it just blows my mind
