Jeff Hornacek on not dunking, what he won’t tolerate and Knicks belief | New York Post

After reading this interview I got to admit Hornecek might be the first coach for the knicks who is legit likable :ehh:

Like I'm hoping he does well because he seems like a good guy and a good coach as much as because he's the knicks coach:jbhmm:

Also all the stuff he is saying is basically what the fans have been asking for since it feels like forever:obama:

Yup. I liked this hire from jump. Low-key guy and well known at the same time, he'll be able to do his thing.

Never forget.

All that celebrating is why I'm smiling with them being down 0-2. I won't boo them, but wouldn't cheer for them either. JR is pretty much lost in this series and Shumpert was never a big game player. I wished we got more for them, but clearing cap room and tanking was good enough because we got Porzingis.

fukk shumpert. dude more concerned with looking trendy and being a trending twitter topic than winning.

Went from 54 wins to not mentioned at all :sadcam: Should've won that Pacers series too.

We would've definitely beat the heat that year, we had their number. But we got a bad matchup, Jr. doing stupid shyt, Woodson being stubborn, melo and Felton got neutralized:mjcry:
Why we talking bout this, shyt still hurt:damn:

So how do we feel about getting rid of Shump and JR after watching a couple games of them in the finals?...

Is Phil justified, or should he have still been able to get more for them?

Should have been able to get more for them.

Never forget.

Aight Aight call me crazy

But I think the Knicks should look at Austin Rivers to be the offensive firecracker coming off the bench. He's even able to spot start and he could be our insurance in case we can't re-sign Williams

All I'm saying I rather have Rivers coming off the bench than Langston "Bricks" Galloway :yeshrug:

Knicks fans always get this f*cked up... JR was never a #2. He's a spot up shooter who's more comfortable as a #3, #4 option knocking down open jumpers off the initial action. Knicks had him trying to INITIATE the action and playing #2 to Melo, which is not his game. Put him in a structure with strong players and he's good money--as he's shown in Cleveland.

And both of these guys would be our starting 2-guard right now by a mile.
