Aint Crabbe a restricted free agent? Why wouldn't Portland match?

They got Mccollum and Aminu so if you offer him starter money, they may think twice since they've got the wings locked up moving forward. I think Crabbe will be cheaper to steal than Bazemore and less likely to be matched than Fournier. I'd take any of those three and be really happy.

The realgm Knick forum is the worst. There so delusional

They think the Knicks should keep the team as is. They think the coaching held back all this talent :mjlol:

Coaching did hold us back definitely, I feel we'd have at least 5-10 more wins had it not been for shytty coaching. Maybe even playoffs.
Build your team around a player entering his 14th season brehs
No one saying build around him but he's definitely a help for us. There's pros and cons for keeping and trading him. But he's not going anywhere as of now and this topic has been brought up all season, it's way past time to give it a rest.

The roster is still not good overall though. Their basically saying our rosters good enough going forward without any major changes which is assinine

Knicks need assets aka young and cheap players. Just stop trading picks...look at all the teams remaining all were built through the draft.

That's why I'd rather trade Melo because by the time were any good he's gonna be long gone but I don't think Melos ego would allow him to go somewhere and be a 2nd option

They had young player they just sucked. They stunk nobody mentions them anymore in the Tyson Chandler trade. Only Calderon is ever mention, not Early, Thanassis or Larkin

Oh most definitely;we are hurting at the guards, need more consistent offense for when melo isn't on the floor/having an off game and a better bench.

Back in the day I would say Melos NTC has actually saved the Knicks from themselves, cause god knows a trade would've been done by now, and most likely the Knicks would be taking the L on the deal. So I'm good with it. Right now it's Phil keeping the Knicks from making that horrble trade, so I'm even better with it.

But he would actually get paid more if he got traded. So if it is just pure greed, wouldn't he waive his NTC?

I dont think its greed, it's more comfort level. Melo has kind of slid under the radar in NY tbh...he's doing his side business stuff, his wife works here and New Yorkers are more worried about Matt Harvey and Phil Jackson than they are Melo. It's a low pressure job for max money with all the perks of NYC. Unless LA were to knock his socks off he sure as hell aint leaving...
