What we learned:
. Mostly the same ish as usual. It was interesting to see the Mavs more focused on letting Melo score (which he did efficiently) over letting him create for anyone else (which he did poorly).
. D-Will...please opt in breh.
. AA continues to look like he's waving the white flag over coming off the bench, this is the second or third in a row where he just didn't look mentally there.
. On the other end of the spectrum, Galloway break a string of solid games with wackness, dude's played himself into a cheap second contract instead of drawing nicer offers. That's fine by me though, it's easy to forget that this is his first full NBA season and if we could lock him up for a few years on a low risk, cheap contract I'd like to see how he develops moving forward.
. KOQ manages to be inconsistent IN GAME. He'll make a nice defensive stand, grab the rebound and next time down he'll watch a guy trot into the paint for a free lay-up. On offense, he'll make a pretty pass but follow that up with an ill advised long range shot. He makes young player mistakes, but he's gotta snap out of that. Still got get the dude reps, when he gets consistent minutes the mistakes tend to drop some and the good plays increase some.
. RoLo's rebounding has been pretty damned good for the most part since January. Still looking like a good addition and reliable player.
. Grant showed real promise in his increased minutes, but also showed the flaws that have plagued him unfortunately. I wish he'd have gotten more reps all year long to help figure out some of his holes.
. Sasha is continuing a stint of good play...Still hate the dude, worried that this one streak will earn him a shot at the last roster spot again next season, but honestly speaking he's providing energy that's been lacking since Lance went down.
. Seraphin has some moments on both ends where you see a serviceable bench big...unfortunately those moments are in the minority.
. Rambis says everybody in the organization wants to see more of the young guys...at least he's owning up to a decision everyone on the planet thinks is terrible I guess. Just another sign he'll be an assistant at best next season.
. Loved the Harper nostalgia talk. Dude seems to fall to the wayside when people talk good ole 90's Knicks, but he was awesome to watch and you could hear how much he loved that period in his life with the conversation that he had with Breen.
