I find that hard to believe. :mjlol:

I grew up in VA in the 80's and 90's. A LOT of people from New York and NJ were back and forth to VA. A lot of NY artists wore military shyt.

Push T lying :mjlol:

Story went over your head. Nas represented the streets from a ground level perspective. A hood ngga pov. I’d think yall understand this considering it’s what makes you goofy nggas :ahh::noah: about him to this day :what:

Jay on the other hand represented the streets from a boss persona, an ‘I’m above you nggas, im rich, I’m getting money, I’m better than you’ perspective. Again? I’m not sure why you don’t understand that considering its that energy that’s part of what makes you nggas :pacspit:him, to this day.

All Pusha is relating is some nggas, dope boys who could perhaps relate/aspire to what Jay was portraying, felt him more. Why is that so hard to grasp and why is that such a personal affront to yall? And I say ‘yall’ even as a Nas fan myself. But the Nas fandom on this site is fukking weird and childish

army gear was cool, durable, and affordable

All the greats from that era rocked it from NY when I think about it and I don't think it was just a NY thing.... Pac granted he was from New York and Hot Boys/New Orleans, Texas rappers, probably more I can't even remember

even high end/hype design still pull heavily from it like bomber jackets and etc

:dead:

Nas was on top of the world in 96' and rich af so it's not like he was some bum either lmao

It isn't believable if u was around during that time u would know that. In 96 by the time Jay dropped his first album Nas wasn't wearing ANYTHING near related to an Army jacket. It's a made up story fam. On top of that. In 94 when Nas was wearing Army Jackets he was considered one of the flyest nikkas in the game. Ain't no out of town VA nikka finna tell an NYC nikka bout getting fly in the 90s.
The first time Pusha people saw Nas was probably the army jacket. It’s not that difficult to understand. First impressions mean everything. 2 dudes probably said that to Push and y’all mad af over it

u can’t make this shyt up lol

Nah how bro put it above seems more realistic.

Jay wasnt Poppin like that with that Versace and crist talk earlier on.
By the time he did get Poppin with the fly sht. It would have been alil later and NY in general was on that European fly sht. And jay was the man by then.

Pusha would have been almost a 20yr old himself in 96 but that ain't even 96 he's talking about. It's later.

He might have actually been the "og" telling some lil nikka not to listen to Nas. And live a fantasy life jayz spitting
The story would make sense now

All wrong.

1- I see myself in his eyes, I moved from Levi's
To Guess to Versace, now it's diamonds like Liberace
-Coming of Age

2- Feelin It video again on some boss persona shyt

3- Even before reasonable doubt, ‘When Puff was in that tub spilling Mo, I was at my video, Cris on the speedboat’ :mjtf:

Said cristal:

Versace style shirt:

Pouring toasts in reading glasses n shyt

‘In My lifetime ngga go do your research, St Thomas my ngga that was me first’. That video came out in 95 maybe even 94

A lot of you nggas need to realize it’s okay to not know some shyt. Dudes was barely alive but try to rewrite history

u can’t make this shyt up lol

Bro literally makes a lot of sh*t up, lol.

The army jacket was a staple back then. There's no way any true Hip Hop head (especially older ones) saw the jacket during that era and clowned it. Everyone was doing the army jacket or the vest at that time. Dope rapper, but has always been a pathological liar.

He made this story up, to try to convey some other sh*t. That's how he is.

I'm not mad. I just think it's cap. In 94 what was them goofy nikkas wearing? That was fly shyt in 93-94. By 96 Nas wasn't wearing anything like that. Nas was pushing fashion foward when he came out. Did u not see what Jay used to wear when he first popped on the scene? U wanna speak on first impressions? Lol. The story is weird.

Exactly. nikkas really don't understand how out of bounds Pusha is for saying this stupid shyt. Story sounds completely fraudulent. I don't even think Jay himself would agree with this story.

If u grew up around any older nikkas u would know how insane it is to try to clown a nikka for an Army Jacket on the East Coast in 1994. That's like clowning a nikka for rocking Tan Timbs or some shyt.
:russ:It’s not hard to believe that some bruhs. Wasn’t fukking with Nas’s style and street poet rhymes. Over Jay’s style and hustler/flashy rhymes lol. It’s called having an opinion, and Pusha’s homies opinions was. That they wasn’t feeling Nas’s bars or style. Not everyone is going to like your favorite rapper and that’s ok.
