Facts. In real time nikkas was going crazy over Meet the Grahams (not everyone of course, but most people) and when "Not Like Us" dropped the feeling was Drake was already dead from Meet the Grahams and NLU was just kicking a dead body.

People give FM points because its truly Drake’s best pure rapping performance in YEARS, all three beats are dope and he threw some nice darts at Weeknd, Ross and ASAP.

But its not better than any song Kendrick dropped. Kendrick understood the assignment whilst Drake tried the Takeover route not realizing that Takeover itself didn’t work out for Jay (or only “half” worked if we acknowledge that Hov damaged Prodigy)
FM should have been entirely aimed at Kendrick. The world didn’t care about Ross, ASAP or even what the Weeknd had to say. He could have saved those bars for another song that could have been on the album. The main event was Drake Vs Kendrick and Drake underestimated EVERYTHING about his opponent. Underestimated how fast Kendrick could write and craft responses. Underestimated Kendrick’s status amongst the culture. Underestimated Kendrick’s sheer hatred and loathing for him. Underestimated his own standing amongst the culture.

Just an overall pathetic and short sighted approach to the biggest battle of his career.
