Kendrick won. Let me get that out of the way.
But I disagree with Pusha. I think what bothered Drake the most and caused him to tap out was the lie and everyone believed it. I also don't believe that Kendrick was that more lyrical than Drake in this battle.

Push always right...its also crazy how far more lyrical kendrick was in this battle. He flipped his best lines, had 200 quotables and memorable moments, was hitting harder.
Drake is probably done with battle rap, thats not his thing.

Nop.
Lyrics = lyricism

Songwriting = song structure, melodies, rythms, sonical experience, etc.
Kendrick has always been considered as one of the best artists AND musicians. Drake never got that consideration, because you know, his music was never elite.

Both them nikkas been subbing each other for over a decade.. ok we play the semantics, Drake makes better hit songs than Kenny is his a fact… Kenny is a better lyrically than Drake.. this was never a debate
IDK what you’re both arguing, but lyricism doesn’t mean great songwriting… for example, 50 is a great songwriter, but I’d never consider him one of the best lyricist.

Drake and Kendrick can both make hits. Obviously Drake has made that his end game/goal… with that said though, in terms of songwriting, I’ll take Kendrick’s songs with Rihanna and Sza, “Loyalty” & “Luther” over any of the Drake songs he’s had with those artist.

From a lyrical standpoint, imo, the battle was done after “euphoria”. I thought Drake would drop a club record after that and then the world would run with Drake winning, but Kendrick beat him at his game… but yes, to ‘listeners’, “euphoria” ended it all and show that there’s levels

If you look at the history of rappers, they mimic drug dealers. What do they have in common, they are jealous like women but mask it with bravado.
If one has nicer things for too long the question becomes why not me so they ................
I can tell you thought this was intelligent. It has nothing to do with drug dealers. Men and women get jealous. It's just human.
