That's not gonna end well for Trey. His size and physicality was major factor in his player stock. Asking him to run the high accuracy/timing Jimmy G offense that Brock Purdy is executing at a high level will suck for Trey and show we wasted all that capital for no transformational offensive upgrade from Jimmy

Trey was never supposed to be an elite athlete like Lamar or RG3 but I was expecting he could at least hit Hurts/Allen levels, who are less fast-twitch and more locomotive. They also both run with conviction. So far, Trey has run kinda scared and without confidence. It's weird. If he can't hit those Hurts/Allen runs then he has to be an elite-tier decision maker and accurate thrower like Burrow, which...I don't forsee.

Trey look like he still not comfortable with the speed of the game. Where Brock started 40 games or something on a team playing squads like Oklahoma that had way more talent.

It ain't ideal but for real we have a very good QB situation the next two years. High floor, high ceiling. Brock showed me he at minimum as good as Jimmy but on a 7th round rookie contract. And Trey is still very inexpensive by starting QB standards. Gonna have a loaded roster the next two seasons because of this

Need to do that and go all in next year in free agency and trades, bring in some mercenaries. Whatever it take to bring in a real edge rusher opposite Bosa and upgrade the right side of the OL, CB opposite Ward, safety opposite Huf. 23 and 24 the years to get it done

We don't NEED anything except a QB who can do that again and not be injured. We'd LIKE to have some better DB's, but nobody is really leaving that we need to scramble to replace. We can get to the hump, we need ELITE QB play to get over it. This game manager shyt is not the key we think it is
