The issue is.... Allen is a lot more agile than Trey and has a fast release. You can build an offense around passing all the time. Now you shouldn't because you need to be balanced but you can.


I don't see it yet with Trey. With Trey its a heavy run, rpo play action deep shot type of offense... Which is what Kyle tried to do. Trey lacks the twitchiness and elusiveness of these new age QBs. Shiit even Purdy has some. Trey will also require learning, which is really off from win-now roster we got.


With that said, there are like 20 teams out there who'd love to be in our position. Two young qbs in rookie contracts. Plenty of talent even tho it's gonna be top heavy very soon with all these big contracts.

Hell not saying he’s Peyton Manning but remember his first season he was absolutely GARBAGE, led the league in turnovers and went 3-13.

Now imagine if someone said “he ain’t it” and never gave him another chance.

A player of Trey's profile and caliber should be able to execute designed QB runs. He's not supposed to be a statue QB. The problem is he's not fast-twitch enough to get to the edge and improvise rushing yards, and supposedly can't be used for designed QB runs, so we might as well have drafted a more accurate, quick release QB like Mac Jones

Purdy is doing more with less tools. We didn't spend all those picks to run an offense with no QB mobility threat. We didn't invest all that in Trey to have him run Purdy's mobility limited offense. We should be able to run RPO with Deebo and CMC, if Trey can't do that then might as well go with Purdy.
