I don't know where it would make sense to toss Trey Lance in the bushes he has way more upside than Purdy. He'll be healthy and only 23 next year.

Dramatic fans......online. I went to a 49ers game watching party. Everyone is just happy to win. EVERYONE said the same thing about how Trey was used horribly and why wasn't he given this offense to begin. Nobody understands this.

I personally would like to smack Kyle in the mouth. This not rookie playing bullshyt needs to stop. Trey was supposed to do mop up duty to get game experience his rookie year. This fukking idiot just stopped it completely after like two games. So his rookie year was just wasted. I think he should have sat but played sporadically like Joe did when Steve was the starter.

Lance should not feel like he has to fight for his job. Just needs to come in locked and ready to go. Cats already naming Purdy day 1 starter next year.

Lance has proven absolutely nothing in this league and we're halfway through his rookie contract. He definitely should feel like he has to fight for his job if Purdy keeps playing like he has been. As that tweet showed, they've basically been playing equal. Neither has earned the longterm QB1 position imo.

You're right. It wasn't just Lynch. I read several reports that the staff said had pushed Lance on him. shyt even Frank Gore told Jed York to.

Kyle wanted Mac Jones. Mac Jones is trash. We would have been fukked. Hands down Kyle has the worst talent evaluation, especially for QBs. The only requirement is that you are tall and white.

Lynch actually tried to convince him otherwise. I can't remember who they went to go see. Maybe Fields. But he said he got on the plane and Kyle was still drawing up plays for Lance. There was never a question who he was going with.

And with our crazy ass run and rpo game, we've missed a mobile qb.. I saw it the same as Kyle. If we had a game manager that could also throw a 70 yard bomb or run it for 70, we'd be unstoppable. Especially with the defense..

Until I see a full season, I'm not going to believe he doesn't have it in him. Nothing he's done tells me he's a bum

Purdy has started 1 game. I hope he balls but there is way too much snap to judgement here. Trey was a backup last year. Why hold that against him?

I’ve been saying it since the pick Lance is a front office pick because they knew the fan base would revolt over Mac Jones going that high. I also think they wanted to make up for the mahomes/Watson draft when they passed on both for a d end that’s no longer on the team with the third overall pick. We would be so screwed with Jones right now. Kyle is good with skill positions like wr’s and running backs and tight ends but his qb selections are terrible like Cj beathard.

This is one of the reasons I wanted fields. Fields didn’t have the exact same upside his ceiling is a little lower in someplace but higher in others but his floor was higher.

Plus, you saw fields do it against far superior talent. The quality of Lance’s competition always concerned me.
