this team is not build for converting third and longs. the right tackle sucks at pass pro. interior linemen arent the best at pass pro. teams can blitz and not bother covering much outside and cheat towards inside.

when you build an offense around a run game and YAC dudes getting YAC catches on 5-15 yard throws, any of those third and longs are killer. for a team like the chiefs it doesnt matter as much.

good teams know jimmy is terrible with sideline throws and dont even bother covering them anymore. shanahan knows that as well, theres really nothing they can do at this point

We cannot expect the defense to keep bailing us out. This was a game we needed to win by scoring 35 to 42 points and having the defense play a support role.

Also Trent Williams wasn't ready to come back.

Both of these losses are a reflection on Kyle Shanahan because good coaches can scheme around the talent as opposed to doing the same thing and hoping for a different result.
