If I'm being honest, it didn't even look like Trey was even headed towards anything special (this season) anyway the way Shanny has used him so far. Usually when you have a franchise QB drafted as high as Trey he has unique skills that you build your offense around to highlight. In the few games that Trey has ever played in for this team there was never anything on display that made me think he had next. Dude doesn't have elite mobility like Lamar or an elite arm like Allen or Mahomes or Herbert or elite football IQ. Like lowkey even Jalen Hurts has looked better and he was a 2nd round pick, which is where a pure project should be drafted, not fukkin 3rd overall after a trade using 2 first round picks. The player selected there needs to have a unique skillset you can build your offense around. It's pretty much settled in my mind now that we should have picked Fields. You can't be drafted 3rd overall and have 2 seasons of 0 production. Like bro really sat for a year, lost to the Bears, went to the skrip club then broke his ankle. That's the story of his first 2 years in the NFL. That's...a tough look.
Steve sat for four years behind Joe and looked pretty mediocre when he first started and then got hurt.

This is too much of a small sample size to really say anythign about dude. You can clearly see that Kyle is retarded. It's Kyle's fault why he is hurt. The offense looks better with Jimmy because it's his original game plan. Why he keeps playing Trey like Lamar is just down right stupid. So his career hasn't take off because of one big eared elf.

Ehh. See I don't know about that. How good has Justin Fields been really? Who is to say we wouldn't have gotten him hurt like Trey Lance.

TYRONE GA!
3rd Quarter. Justin Fields has an amazing 70 yards passing.

have you seen the Bears weapons? :mjlol:

That's why last week was pathetic. Kyle's gameplan was retarded. He keeps trying to be the smartest guy in the room too much when simple is just fine.

Watched and read to catch up with everything.

All I'm gonna say is fukk Kyle Shanahan. Unless he gets us a Superbowl he can kick rocks, I don't give a fukk a anymore. Anyone with a functional pair of eyes could understand that running Trey like a RB was dangerous and would get him hurt sooner rather than later. And this stubborn motherfukker did it anyways AND got him injured for the rest of the season.

So the gamble that is going to define his and Lynch's tenure is gonna spend his first 2 years on the sidelines and wont even get to practice nor get better against real competition during the time he was supposed to learn on the job :smh:

Whatever happens this season happens. Hopefully Jimmy has a career year and we get n°6 but anything else and Kyle can go fukkhimself and go be a coach for another team :pacspit:

PS: I don't expect Jimmy to last this whole season either btw, our interior OLine will get him injured at some point in the next 3 months and we gonna have to rely on Brock Purdy :dead:

This ain't the 80s. Production in the NFL in this era is on a different timeline.

Trey has the same amount of time in the league as every other player drafted in his year. If he doesn't play next year, i'm not going to say his sample size is too small to judge. I'm judging him on production and so far he has minimal. And to be clear, I'm blaming Kyle more than anyone else. He drafted the kid and he's the one creating the offense. He's responsible. I just think if Trey had an undeniable skillset Kyle would be forced to showcase. :yeshrug:

I wouldn't be against a coaching change. shyt make Ryans the coach. We just need an OC that has half a brain to utilize Trey the right way.

Yeah. I ain't going to lie and say I I'm confident Jimmy would be healthy all season either. It's just one big cluster fukk.

Fields has been good. He's outplayed Trey in both games he's played against us. And he's been playing with nikkas who work at UPS during the week while Trey has one of the best offensive supporting casts in the league. It's just clear to see, he's been the more dynamic player.

I only agree with Trey not showing anything worth getting excited about yet but Shanahan has made ZERO effort in even trying to showcase Lance in anything other than running the ball. And we all saw that wasn't going to work. And he still kept doing it until it got his ankle broken :smh:

Now how can we even judge Trey next season coming off a shattered ankle and so little real game play in the last 3 years? From the day the trade was made it was clear it was going to make or break the Shanahan/Lynch era and it's looking more and more like it's going to break it. fukk Kyle, man.

It was actually the 90's when he started, but it's still the same concept. A QB has to be able to play no matter what era it is. If it's limited it is a small sample size and can't judge. The games lost with Trey it was due to dumb play calling. Something he can't control.

People really act like Josh Allen didn't look great when he first started out. The more he played. The better he got in the next level. The experience is crucial. Kyle is the idiot that limited it.

We are very early in the season but it looks like Mike McDaniel could've been a good choice for HC of this team :francis:

Ok but football is a game of matchups. How good has Justin really thrown the football. I agree fields is a better athlete but his actuall throwing of the football on a night in and night out basis still doesn't tell me he was the far and away the better player and even in that game ast week he got a lot of 2nd chances due to the defenses excessive penalties in the 2nd half.

I have no reason to believe Trey has some secret level of God-tier play that would be unlocked if not for Shanny's bullshyt playcalling, though. It's not like dude was a Heisman winner/finalist. He was always a "project" whose ceiling was never really explicitly defined. The main problem with Shanny's playcalling for Trey is that he was abusing an asset we spent a lot of capital on. If Trey was a 3rd round pick I doubt we'd care as much about the prospect of him being injured by the dumbass QB draws. He doesn't seem to have elite leadership, he has a big arm but it's not elite, accuracy isn't amazing. He has just enough mobility to be dangerous on high-low concept play action rollouts, but other than that, I'm not really seeing it. Like, this isn't Lamar being limited by a quick passing tempo offense or Herbert being constrained by a checkdown offense. Both those guys have innate natural skillsets that demand to be showcased. I don't know what Trey's are.
