So people talking about bringing Punk signs and starting Punk chants:whoa:

Fall back, let him rest and get his mind right. He quit for a reason. Punk will be back one day and he'll get his shine, but right now it's Bryan's time. Splitting the crowd is gonna hurt the Bryan movement.

What happen was, the week before the their bout, Punk announced he wasn't gonna re-up and he was basically going to take the belt hostage once he won at MITB,

The intro to the match was crazy cause it was in Chicago and they treated Cena like Public Enemy No. 1 and Punk as their favorite son.

He won, didn't show up at the following RAW, so Vince said that he was going to hold a 8 man tourney for the vacant title.

The next week Cena beat Mysterio in the finals of the tourney and Vince awarded him the title, as soon as he won the title Punk's new music hit and Punk was back.

Him and Cena had a face off where Cena tried to raise the title and get a pop, but Punk out popped him and Punk said that the real champ is here. They fought at the next pay per view to unify both WWE titles.

The storyline had so much potential, if they would of let Punk stay off camera with the title and show up to other promotions with the belt, they could of had him legit hold the belt hostage and defend it at Ring of Honor and shyt and people would of went crazy, it could of been a dope way to cross promote other organizations, especially since he was talking about taking it to ROH and NJPW.

Hope this helps breh.
Remember mysterio won the tournament beating miz in the finals and cena pulled a hogan and made mysterio defended the title an hour after he won it
cena beat mysterio to become champ again

I forgot about that, that's when they were still trying to make Miz seem like a threat.

I get what dude is saying, but 2 things I don't agree with was that he said Punk didn't put anybody over, didn't Punk get beat 2 or 3 times by Reigns. Wouldn't that be putting someone over? And with Jeff Hardy, wasn't he getting suspended when he left, I can't remember exactly.

What this dude is saying is that he respects Punk for making a choice, but it's bullshyt to up and leave cause you don't get your way. A lot of wrestlers have done the same thing. And he should respect the business, the business chews you up and spits you out, while the same people remain at the top, it's tough to respect the business if you bust your ass just as much, moves as much merch, and got the crowd going wild, but you still get fukked over or jerked around.

Sometimes actions speak better than words.

The sad thing was they rushed Punk's return because Summerslam was the next PPV and they wanted to have a big match. But the buyrate was bad (even worse than this years) and showed that they could've waited for Punk for a couple of months, run Cena vs Mysterio and force themselves to create other interesting shyt to build up Summerslam. They went the lazy route and it backfired, sounds familiar no?

Straight up, that was the time they could of built up new stars, I think that was when the Shield debuted to as well, they could of kept Punk off tv with the title til about Survivor Series or the PPV that ends the year, and have him drop footage of him with the title off with the title in different places every now and again, just to keep people wondering if was ever going to return with the title. That way he could have got his rest, the storyline keeps on building, and new stars could be made all in one fell swoop.

Survivor Series was too long for him to return though. I mean, I get him having his first match back at SS, but they should've slowly brought him back since September.

Like, have someone from the roster come out and cut a promo about how WWE can't keep ignoring what happened and have that someone be Punk's mouth piece so to speak. Every once in a while show a video of Punk cutting a promo and have handheld footage of his appearances in different places with the belt. Forget about "making it seem real" and just make a controversial, fun angle that could be built for months and create a new star.

But hey, being lazy and bring Kevin Nash back was whats best for business :heh:
