Cena did a 100,000 less overrun than Punk just a few weeks after 1000. But because the rating was above 3.0 it isn't considered all time low.

This third hour is such an anomaly that we can't put all the blame on any feature player for it. People just aren't willing to stay with the show that long and until I'm proven wrong on that it's gonna be the main problem. It's not like there's a Sting vs NWO angle going on that's enticing anyone to stay.

Punk talks like he's on that level. Like he's that kind of draw. Why not measure him up to NwO/Sting acts since he's "putting asses in seats" and all that kind of slick tomfoolery he loves to boast about? If it's good TV, the third hour inclusion wouldn't even matter. It would be like it used to be with the fans NOT GIVING A fukk about the 1st hour and tuning in for the usual format like they did all the time during the Raw 3 hour specials.

Because when he was trying to stand out on that level they decided that COO Trips and "Who's closing the show?" storylines were more important. Maybe it was a bit of his fault cause he did kind of fade out towards May but he got a much needed character change and he's been the best heel champ since probably Irvine. Him and Heyman are too good together.

Since we're taking everything a guy says in character as golden, where was the outrage and analytical breakdown when Miz's must see champion bullshyt was a talking point? :skip:

People hated on Miz nonstop..especially when he outshined Melina's bytch boy. People been on the Punk bandwaggon strong since his heel turn. Big difference.

Yep during a 3rd hour with everyone tuning out of each segment that hour since Raw 1000.

People seem to conveniently forget about that though :manny:

Nobody's forgetting about it. If they wanted to see Punk, they'd watch. The overruns gain big because they're overruns. They gain huge when something is drawing. When it's not, you have the worst six overruns in 15.

All this only matters to stock holders.

You guys would have hated Bret, Shawn, and Taker during the mid-90s :heh:

That's the point. When you got matches drawing 2.1s right before how the hell is it the champs fault when people come back into the fold minutes later.

I've always hated Bret, and during the mid-90s Taker was :trash:. Shawn was :ehh: during that period for me.

edit: Speaking for myself, I don't "hate" Punk because of ratings, that's just icing on the cake. I don't think anybody hates a wrestler because of ratings.

Its an excuse to make up bs and pretend like their stupid opinions hold weight.

:what:
Ratings are facts, and Punk being the only person involved in the 6 worst overruns in history is a fact.
But you're also a Punk fan, so to you of course ratings don't mean nothing.

You wont find this type of lame shyt in any other facet of entertainment. Posters arguing hip hop sales in the spot/booth is the only thing that comes close, and even that holds more weight.

Wrestling fans :snoop:
