I was expecting theater mode to be a 4K image.. I’m hearing it’s more like 1080p? That’s probly my biggest gripe… and no video player or apps.

Have you done a night race on GT7? The quality of lighting/reflections in that game is insane compared to what my Quest 2 can do.They lied though. The graphics are ok but not anything jaw dropping to me.

I mean you can look at the reception Meta has gotten and see that it's going to be stuck in a niche product category for a long time if not forever. Fans of it shout from the hilltops people need to experience it but there's a rather large chunk of the general public that's apathetic to experiencing it. Asking a premium price for it on top of that is what firmly plants it in the niche category in perpetuity. The bottom line is outside of it's enthusiast people are being asked to pay a premium to experience something they're indifferent about.This is why VR will never take over and always be niche.
