Usually doesn't apply here tho :stop: Let's look at the history of PlayStation. PS1 probably not, PS2 went for as high as 20k, PS3's I remember we're going for as high as 5k. PS4 I didn't pay enough attention to but I'm sure it was not as high as pervious years. And now the PS5.

Well, fanboy hype is at an all-time high. Covid is a thing so shortages are a thing because of it, and they had heating issues during development, made a statement claiming that's wasn't true and that the 15 million ps5's they originally claimed they'd have was still on track. A month later that number does to 11 million and a couple weeks ago analyst predicted they'd only have 8 million total by years end (actually by the end of the quarter which is March)

So in conclusion, it's only been 24hrs. I don't understand why ppl don't pay attention.. but just like covid people will recognize the deal AFTER THE FACT, AFTER IT'S TOO LATE. If I'm wrong I'll get my money back, $850 isn't hard to get. If I'm right? I'm thinking 2k+ but I'd be thrilled with 1500. Happy with 1200, but hopefully I won't have to choose because I'll get both :blessed:

I don't know why but they seem to be going for around $500. Sell it for $400 and make that quick hundo
I've followed and sometimes participated in console reselling since the Xbox 360. People always get the most day 1. From there the price falls. It may fall very slowly but the people that wouldn't pay $1500 now aren't gonna suddenly pay $2000 in several weeks.

False because people are paying 1500 now, and a reason a person could pass now is because more systems will be in stock. But the goal for especially parents or anyone giving gifts. Christmas is the holiday and you're taking that completely out the question. I camped outside for 360's as well. I got the 2 for myself camping at a Walmart. Then when the next wave hit I went to a best buy where there was a long line. I walk up to the front and go I got a 360 for 800. A person took me up on that offer right then and there. My point is shyt selling. Ebay is up to $32,000 :hubie:

Again tho, with a pandemic which has never happened during a console launch, you gotta factor in all the factors. Supply will buy reach demand, not even close. I'm confident you're wrong because the average going rate has steadily increased so far. We'll continue this next week (s)...

bestbuy ended up charging me for my consoles after I got them, I used a prepaid card and the balance is now in the negative :heh: did I win or are they gonna try and come after me for this
It will end up going to collections. Best Buy will reverse the transaction with the gift card provider and that company will get your info from Best Buy and come after you.

An auction closing for a listed amount doesn't mean someone was paid that much. The typical auction for just the system on eBay isn't ending for anywhere near $1500. It's closer to $1000 and you'll lose at least 13% of that which puts you at $870 and that doesn't include the sales tax on top of the $500.

Its why I sold mine for $900 in person. It's better than what I would have got selling on eBay and locally all the $1000+ systems are still listed.

That being said if someone pays you $2000 for one of these consider yourself lucky. We're talking about greed on top of greed here. That $900 I sold mine for means my PS5 cost me $100 out of pocket which some cash back on my credit card covered. That's more than good enough for me. Not taking the chance that they're selling for $700-$800 closer to Christmas because supply improved.
