And that's why people who were actual game developers didn't join in on the PS5 bashing. People who actually had their hands on the technology on a day-to-day basis are far more qualified to talk about the console's capabilities than those who saw a chart comparison and acted like they were authorities on the matter.

Like I said though, it'll all come down to the games. And I don't see Sony dropping the ball any time soon on that front.

Why the SSD is getting praised

It's not the bandwidth, it's the fact you can have a GPU call the storage with little to no CPU overhead.

There's a lot of overhead with PC hardware

A lot of gamers on PC also have their games on HDD and select games on an SSD.

Maybe but I don't believe PCIe 4 NVMe storage is the norm and you still have the overhead of Windows.
