I wanted the digital though. Sony is dumb for not realizing more people were gonna buy the digital. Only the hardcore nerds still holding onto physical at this point.

They realize it, they just don't want to take the bath on the cost until manufacturing makes sense to make more at a time. The only thing missing from a physical and a digital version is a $12-15 drive. So off top, with whatever is being lost on the 499 version, add another $85 for the digital version. They aren't trying to eat that much of a loss.
