Not surprised, I think everyone is rushing to get the same drive since they were one of the first to update the description of the drive to be PS5 compatible.I'm showing it sold out, and at best buy, they charging $500 and have it available today, so I'm good on that for now til they get back in stock.

I did see some at a local Office Depot a couple weeks ago, you might be able to find one in stock at a local odd ball store.
Wish I had of saw that Amazon link prior to ordering from New Egg, could have saved myself $15 for the heatsink - that could have been a Chipotle lunch delivery.the one w/o heatsink is still in stock for the price you paid if he clicks the link…and he can get the same heatsink you suggested for $15.99 at amazon…I’d post the amazon link but them shyts don’t show up on here

Just gonna drop this in here…
I recommend that everyone who seriously games to get an M.2 SSD.
All SSDs have limited writes before they die. The write life is based on the size and quality of the SSD.
We don’t know the write life on the internal PS5 drive, we can assume that its a lot since its a good size and they would want some longevity. But we can’t say for sure.
So, to alleviate the stress on the internal drive, I’m installing everything to the M.2 (aside from 1st party games). If the M.2 dies, who cares. If the internal drive dies, the whole console goes with it. So, I’m playing it super safe.
Plus, due to the faster write speeds of M.2 over the internal drive, the ‘copying/install’ process should be a lot faster.
