its not confusing at all. GDDR5 is for the gpu, DDR3 is for the ram. If you somehow believe that the ps4 is going to use gddr5 as
system ram then you are more delusional than loose who wants to play CLASSIC disc based exclusives like "The Outfit" on his 720. Honestly can we think about this for a second? If the PS3 (which will probably need anywhere from 6-8GB) uses GDDR5 as system standard RAM the damn thing will probably cost about $2,000 to put together because now at this point you are looking at absolutely everything built from the very ground up. This doesn't mean modifications and closure to current technologies, but brand new shyt that is not even available to high bleeding edge PC or Macs. The biggest difference will be in the allocation of it all, I will be able to break it down a bit further once final specs are released.
A little history -
I knew the XBOX 360 would have the overheating issues upon launch just due to the history of the powerpc line...you guys are talking all this bs without really knowing what it all means AND without knowing final specs.
