Actually, Sony's is going to be most like a PC. Microsoft is going to have some special stuff in there. Exotic-based if you will.

The hardware will be equal just like it was this gen. Sony customers have been enjoying free online play for 7 years now. It's the only leverage they have against XBL. No way they all of sudden start charging for it when they have PS+ already. THat would be suicide. If anything they charge more for PS+ which is already cheaper than XBL.

The PS4 should release for $699.99 while the 360 goes for $399 again. That way consumers will see a higher price point and instantly recognize brute force under the hood of the PS4. Sony needs to pull out the big cards this gen and go crazy with specs. I'm talking 1080p/60 FPS on ALL GAMES with optional 4K support. GTX 680 like performance will make gamers go while the other party is content with prosaic visuals from last gen.

- Maybe AMD 8000 series GPU solution [Customised Solution Possibly utilising GPU + APU combo]

Explanation: PS4 has a higher clock, but less cores and is using an APU solution (CPU & GPU elements combined onto a single chip). The PS4 has less RAM but is using faster GDDR ram, so the overall performance should be a wash.

- AMD x86 Jaguar 1.6GHZ 8-Core [Targeting one core being dedicated for OS tasks]
- AMD 8000 series GPU
- ESRAM on the GPU (unknown amount)
- 8GB Ram DDR3, [1.5GB of RAM likely reserved for the operating system]
- Launch 2013

Explanation: 720 has a lower clock, but more cores. 720 has more but SLOWER RAM. DDR3 RAM is usually good for things like multitasking etc....It is expected to be based on Windows 8 as well.

Note: GDDR ram is more suitable for Graphics Processing (In PS4), and DDR3 is more suitable for OS Tasks (720). It is expected that the 720 may need some sort of ES/ED Ram to compensate. Basically, don't get caught up in the RAM size but the RAM type.

X box looks like trash on paper. 1.6 ghz? All those cores are useless for gaming. Yea once again x box is going to have the shyttier games this gen. Hopefully this gen isnt squandered by x box inferior hardware again. Dont they have a stipulation where they say the game has to look the same on other systems or something like that. Xbox, holding us back. Sonys specs are designed for gaming. Xbox's are designed for, other stuff while you game. Because of that, the actual games will suffer. We already won.

This was more of just a Troll post, because the "story" he posted ended with they guy saying both systems are about the same power wise. Mowgli conveniently left that last line out because it would kill the troll cause
Those 1.6hz cores is highly unlikely as well imo since the current xbox uses 3.2hz cores. But at the same time, I'm no PC/Videogame innards expert either. I do know that the way stuff works in PC's isn't the same for consoles
Very few people are EXPERTS in those differences, but that doesn't stop the know it alls from acting as if that isn't a factor...
