The DMV the DC metropolitan area. Baltimore is not part of the DC metropolitan area, but rather it's own metropolitan area.

DC is bordered by both MD and VA, hence the term DMV and DC has suburbs in both MD and Virginia.

Baltimore is separate altogether.
