Breh im at a point where im not gonna confirm or deny this shyt. Im a man. I don't know how it is
Thats
their lived in experience. Am i to assume that
they're all lying or delusional? Cuz thats the same shyt cacs say about racism.
I maintain that as far as Black men should be concerned, the problem isn't whether colorism or domestic is happening as often as they say, but rather that
BLACK MEN ARE BEING PAINTED AS THE FACE OF MISOGYNY. It's completely intellectually dishonest, treating Black misogyny as somehow "worse".
THe solutions IMO are
1. Black Women have to realize that misogyny in our communities is a direct result of White Supremacy. They shouldnt stop voicing their pain, but treating Black Men as the Demon Horde who are only here to steal, kill and destroy is *not* going to change hearts and minds.
2. Tell me what success looks like. Even after this discussion with my girl, she couldnt really give me an example of Black men on a everyday level can show more love and support to Black Women. Every example she gave was rooted in some notion that all Black Men behaved like the worst type of Black man.
for example
Her: "Well black men should date/show affection to women with features that West African women have"
Me: Well i mean, im dating you and all but one of my closest black male friends date and/or married to Black women with dark skin, big noses big lips, etc
. ..furthermore even if you see a breh pawging, how do
you know he doesnt date Non Mixed Black women?
Her: Black men need to stop bashing Black Men on social media
Me: I literally no zero men who do this.
. Actually i take that back, my one cousin does this and this nikka has to beat Black women off with a stick so what does that say?
...And so on and so on.
Im not against our women voicing their pain, but goddamn gimme something i can work with here
Most Black men
want things to improve between black men and women.
