70% would never happen.

Believe it or not, that's what the tax rate was during the so called "golden days" of this country. And they were paying that while also paying a living wage.



Not that I think it would work with our current society. We need to figure out how to not be so wasteful with the budget before taking even more money from anyone else.

Funny thing is, if the people refused to go back to work there is a chance for this! They'd have to do this to keep some resemblance of an economy going.

It all hinges on people saying, "I'm not dying on your job".

For the first time in a loooong time the chips are in our corner.

Right now we're the NFL players bringing the Owners to the table. We have a chance of saying there will be no games (economy) unless you meet our demands!

Just as the situation in the NFL however, you have players (these guys in the thread saying hurry and send us back to work I have mansions to pay for) who are too shortsighted to recognize the opportunity.

Now I'm starting to see why Republicans say all democrats want is a bunch of free shyt. There is some truth to that. People want to go back to work. No matter how much pandering the progressives do and the attempts from the Democrats to buy votes they're still going to lose.

We have a chance to give people a little breathing room, but some are too shortsighted and indoctrinated.

• Guaranteeing nationwide vote-by-mail to make sure elections don't contribute to the spread of COVID-19.
