People, especially young people, are going to be set back in their career and likely come into a market making less in a role that once paid more. Deferring the payments just means you’re extending the years that shyt is hanging over them. Might as well help out and clear off some of the debt so they’re not playing “catch up” once they finally are employed
the number of kids I’m seeing posting things about not being able to interview, not getting internships (you know, the experience needed to make them competitive and an asset when it’s time to apply to full time jobs), having offers reneged or deferred...shyt is chaos now for people just entering the jobs market after whatever level of school they’re completing.

Student Debt people are trying to make their bad choices a life and death thing and unfortunately watering down reality for the real stuff because most of them signed a bad contract
