The East/West Coast beef wasn't just about battling. The whole thing didn't start with rappers attempting to best each other with bars. It's not the idea of the rapping that's laughable. It's the fact that one verse is being argued as the greatest thing to come out of the East Coast/West Coast beef. Knowing every thing that took place during that entire beef (all the diss records included, all of the events leading up to the beef, the events that occurred during the beef, and the aftermath), Prodigy's verse being the greatest thing to come out of it is laughable.

I didn't pick anything that's favorable because I don't really have a dog in this fight. I was pointing out that it's outlandish to say that the one verse is the greatest thing to come out of the East/West beef. Knowing the magnitude of that beef, it just seemed laughable to me that Prodigy's verse on "Drop A Gem" is the greatest thing out of it. Yes, the verse and the song as a whole is dope, but greatest thing to come out of the beef: nah. When you limit it to just the disses that went at Pac, the statement holds more validity. The whole East/West beef wasn't just Pac vs. the East Coast though.
