and honestly, it's not that big of a deal. they're not using the info against innocent citizens. it's just a database of info that can be used when they find a threat.

But according to a killer report by the Washington Post, Skype has also changed its system to make chat transcripts, as well as users’ addresses and credit card numbers, more easily shared with authorities.

My only concern is what happens with the data once it has been collected.

For example, if you get arrested, does this mean they go through all your shyt and pull info from that to determine the extent of the charges? Or let's say for example, I want to go to Europe, will the country I enter know what kind of person I am because of all the info that has been collected off of me.

Basically, what will be the consequences of them having all this info on us.

Also, I'm in Canada, not sure if this applies to us, but I'm under the impression that everyone within North America and maybe Mexico is part of it. I do know that whatever US does, Canada follows.
