matt serra beat gsp too and would have probably beat him in the 2nd fight if he wasnt the victim of time stalling (which led to a finish but still) it doesnt change the reality that serra aint upper echelon but caught lightening in a bottle..Lets be real Shogun hasnt beaten a top contender in the ufc other than machida.He might very well have machida's number does that mean hes lived up to his billing in his ufc run? I wouldnt say so and if u were true to yourself u would say the same.

Shogun has had only three fights since Machida and i believe he won the Hendo fight besides his run aint over hes been set back by knee injuries

Merked? He was getting hurt bad no doubt but the fight in between those knockdowns Hendo was not dominating it was close. Shogun looked his worst since the first Forrest fight and has look like hes been fighting in quicksand for every fight after Machida/Shogun 2. The shogun who fought Chuck and Machida beats Hendo imo and MAYBE wins a decision vs Bones

This is not fact. Even though Pride had very lax PED testing does not mean everyone was on them the same argument can be used for the ufc. look at all these fighters getting caught cheating and openly cheating (TRT exemption) is everyone using in the UFC now?

Pride for a fact had the best 205 division on the planet not even arguable. His 05 middleweight grand prix run will forever make Shogun a legend regardless of his UFC record. Beating 4 top 10 light heavyweights in the same year while finishing 3 of them (2 in the same night!) in the 1st round all while being 23 is incredible. No one other then the future Goat has come close to a run like that

Is Shogun in his prime? No. With all those knee injuries all i can ask is that he shows up healthy and conditioned. Fact is you cant name 5 light heavyweights with a better resume

Do you know anything about his injuries and surgeries? You sound like somebody who reads records online but has no clue as to what they're talking about. Wand/Gomi/ etc all were losing before they ever came to the UFC. You seem to have no clue about Shogun at all. You should ask more questions and give your opinion less.
