PRIDE was fighting...The UFC is becoming more of a sport, and the fights are becoming boring, because fighters don't want to get knocked out, so they fight for points...

The more of a sport the UFC becomes, the more boring the fights will be, and it will turn to boxing boring levels...Only the true students of the sport will appreciate it...

I am already seeing this happening...

I used to stay up till 4-5am in the morning watching the live stream of their grand prix tournaments. I love watch the UFC but pride was something special and will never get duplicated.

never had access to this in its golden years missed out on some classics but the way hardcores talk about it is a bit nauseating.Wasnt a fan of some of the ring apparel on fighters or how the camera was way too close to the action

man how i miss those tournaments... yellow cards for constant action...and the fight cards were stacked!

home of igor vovchanchyn... one of my all time favorites

and the fukking KNEES. i can understand the soccer kicks..but seriously if knees were allowes in MMA, it'd help prevent all these lay n pray wrestlers from constantly shooting and shooting in until they finally get the takedown because theres no fukkin consequence of getting a shot to the dome by a knee for getting their takedown stuffed

lucky enough to be put on to sakuraba in his prime..been watching mma for about 10-11 years now..got to see alot of these fights live and see the transformation of the sport

same. got a 2002 sherdog account too. my first live pride event was the ken shamrock vs frye...was a great event to get introduced to PRIDE...

whats pretty awesome is that we basically got to witness the true OGs and legends of the sport in its infancy....theres no other sport you can really say that about. ima have to be spitting that old school knowledge on my seeds
