Why are people acting like the Floyd/Pac fight CAN'T happen now? People tuen in to see big names and both of those guys are still the biggest two names out there. Let's not forget Tyson and Lewis got big payday's after Tyson got knocked out twice by Holyfield and the ear biting fiasco. People pay to see names, not records. When/if they both decide to make the fight happen it will happen and large sums of money will change hands.
True but everyone still believed in mike. His losses were filled with controversy. Buster, shoulda been counted out. And EVERYONE knows holyfield was horribly headbutting tyson in BOTH FIGHTS (though evander still coulda won without them possibly). Lennox avenged his own two defeats in devastating fashion. So it was more of a viable fight. NOW manny would have to comeback and ko marquez etc to make people believe again. It could sell without ALL THAT but not as greatly as it could if reestablished his super manny persona

I can tell some of yall in here dont really KNOW boxing.

First of all, the logic that "Floyd dominated JMM, so imagine what he would do to Manny" is stupid. Flat out. If that's the case, and that train of thought ever held true, what happened in the Ali vs Foreman vs Frazier triangle? Frazier was giving it to Ali, got MURDERED by Foreman, and with the stupid logic some if you are using, that would've meant that Foreman didnt need to fight Ali then right, because he made "easy work" of a guy that Ali had trouble with? What happened though when Foreman took the fight with Ali?:mindblown:

There are countless examples of this, so where is this whole "Floyd beat up JMM easily, imagine what he would do to Manny" rhetoric coming from.

And lastly, I cant remember the poster, why do you keep saying Floyd fought Cotto in Cotto's style? That was NOT Cotto's style. He is not a "bully fighter", which is how he tried to fight Floyd. Cotto was using De La Hoya's/Juan Castillo's fight plan against Floyd to try and win, because he KNEW he couldn't out box Floyd. Cotto IS a boxer not a brawler....he tried to brawl with Floyd and didnt get dominated at all (losing 7 rounds to 5 isnt domination).

Manny dominated Cotto easily and made light work of him, just as he did Ricky Hatton, and De La Hoya (all of whom it took Floyd longer to beat) and he also gave Margarito (who Floyd ducked) the worst beating Margarito has ever had in a boxing match and basically ended his career. Does that mean Manny is/was better? NO. It means styles makes fights, so no one fight shouldn't be used as a barometer of all things boxing or "who would beat who" in a boxing match.

Each fight is different.

Floyd toying with Marquez....:youngsabo:

I know, I know styles make fights. Whatever...dude is another a completely different tier. The guy knocking out Pacquiao was made a fool of by Mayweather.

You know what's crazy?

Off the top of my head Sergio Martinez got destroyed by Antonio Margarito, who got beat by Paul Williams, who then got knocked the fukk out by Sergio Martinez:snoop:

Or Vernon Forrest beat Shane Mosley twice, then lost to Ricardo Mayorga twice, who lost to Shane Mosley:mindblown:

Or Fernando Vargas beat Wrinky Wright, who beat Shane Mosley twice, who beat Oscar De La Hoya twice, who beat Fernando Vargas:dwillhuh:

It's too many to name brehs. If yall wanna get caught up in that, then be my guest. If we talking about Floyd can beat Manny simply because he's the better boxer and defensive fighter, I'm with you. Manny only has a "puncher's chance" to beat Floyd in my opinion:manny: BUT, I have to see the fight to know for sure.

But for the retarded logic running rampant on the coli and the rest of the internet......:pacspit:

manny is the more 'entertaining' fighter because he gets into slugfests.. floyd doesnt do that and ppl hate him for it. idgaf i like to see both styles. manny putting the hand of god on all these mexicans all these years had them mad as hell and joyous now that jmm ko'd him.
floyd is smart as hell tho.. i love watching his fights to see his defense and his counters. he is fukkin fast as hell. given manny's offensive style i'd guess floyd would counter him all night long.. too fast, too good on defense. who knows tho

would've loved to seen this fight happen 2 years ago. fk both of them for depriving me of such swag. thats why boxing is dying. punkass mothafukkers

Floyd HAS been down before. Judah hit him with a right hook and Floyd went back falling and used his glove to not hit the ground.

The ref claimed it was a slip, therefore leaving it as "unofficial", even though we see his white glove on the canvas. Floyd has also taken an 8 count and went down in a fight as well, even though, it was due to breaking his hand, so even though it wasnt due to a punch....he was down "officially" then.

Anyways, what does it mean though breh at the end of the day? :heh:

The ONLY fighter to have never been knocked down or out OR taken a knee in a fight for any reason is Vitali Klitschko anyways. Is he the GOAT?:troll:
