Reminded me a lot of this

89289474444.gif

Obviously here, he uses a few punches to polish him off but you get spiked like that you're not gonna last long anyway.

@krackdagawd #DagestanWrestling in the cut, that's a scary sight :merchant:

Yep you're right it seems like he was about 75% knocked cold from the slam alone , got the last 25% of consciousness knocked out of him through ground and pound :wow:

That's why I'm gonna take a load of classes and polish fundamentals before even light sparring. I'm gonna be that quiet Asian guy in the corner constantly drilling techniques

That's the secret man, drilling the basics. You already have the right mindset :salute:

It's good to know the flashy stuff, but a fighter that masters the simplest of basic techniques (stance, footwork, distance, timing, a proper jab, a proper front kick, etc) will be far better equipped than a fighter that can simply "execute" a multitude of techniques but at the same time isn't a master of any singular one. Basics basics basics! They are so crucial :ohlawd:. But some ppl underestimate them because they're "boring". They aren't "flashy" or they aren't the "fun" part of training. Don't be like them man :to:
And I've worded all that shyt kind of crazily but I know yall are able to decipher my garble by now :pachaha:

but Daniel Cormier is the goddamn truth breh
most likely a future p4p great

:blessed:

That bo' bad :wow:

But Jon Jones is badder :manny:

Many of Cormier's supporters keep alluding to his strength and wrestling, saying those will be the deciding factors.
:dahell:..... those are the two exact same things that Jon Jones excels at :what:

Jones is known for being EXCEPTIONALLY strong. But forget simply being "known" for it, look at his fights. He tosses everyone bigger than him EFFORTLESSLY. Literally treats them like rag dolls.

He doesn't have as impressive a wrestling background as Cormier, but he has more than enough. And besides, as he himself has said - it's not a wrestling match it's a fight.

Here is an excerpt from that very interview in 2012:
http://www.mmaweekly.com/jon-jones-...le-better-at-wrestling-but-mma-isnt-wrestling

"...On Tuesday, Jones was again asked about Cormier but this time it related to his wrestling skills. Cormier is a former Olympian and NCAA champion wrestler, but Jones didn’t seem to think their skill sets were all that far apart nowadays.

Where Jones knows he’s better however is at fighting, and that’s where he’d beat Cormier if they ever come face to face in the cage.

“Cormier’s probably a little bit better than me (at wrestling), but it’s not a wrestling match at all. When you talk about knees and submissions and punching and kicking him in the face, and upkicks, it’s just not a wrestling match,” Jones said.

Jones has no problem saying that Cormier’s collegiate and amateur wrestling career was more impressive than his, but he wouldn’t be the first fighter he’s faced with more awards in that category.

“When it comes to credentials he definitely had a better wrestling career than me, but half the guys I fought have had better wrestling careers,” Jones stated..."

People forget Jones' reach advantage extends beyond just the stand up. He's devastating in the GNP, dude can posture up, rain down from more angles. I bet he's even dangerous from the bottom. Maybe we'll see his bottom game vs DC.

Exactly. It's hard to go against someone who has virtually the equivalent of their opponent's best skill sets(wrestling, strength) in their own arsenal, PLUS has a skill set that their opponent doesn't have or has at a far lesser level.

Or in other words, how the hell is Cormier going to beat Jon Jones with strength and wrestling when Jon Jones is also almost equally as strong(literally),

almost equally as good a wrestler(literally),

and is a far superior striker(literally),

and far more mental/crafty of a fighter(literally)

:dahell:

I mean sure, it could happen. That lucky one shot knockout. Especially with the power in Cormier's hands.

But it could happen to anyone.

Lol, somehow this is now a Jones vs DC thread.

I know a lot of people take it as writing off DC if you pick Jones to win, but I'm with you. But really ask yourself, how can you NOT pick Jones? Jones does not have to defy the odds to beat DC, but DC has to in order to beat Jones. The funny thing is wrestling is DC's main strength, but its not even Jones' weakness, so I'm not sure how much that will come into play.

There's no substitute for muscle memory and time served in the gym. Despite my low patience levels i'm just gonna grind. One day I'll get the beautiful arc that Cro Cop's left high kick had.. one day :whyme:

Yeah, he has decent striking. What's makes him even more impressive is that he's 5'10", maybe even 5'9".

Good read. Jones is still beating dat ass doe.

Yall don't have much faith in DC?:sadcam:
I feel like he doesn't have enough experience but is gritty as fukk and game for a war. I personally have doubts he's going to win, but the promos got me hyped as usual.
Yall right though Jones is crazy good. He shows all kinds of insane shyt in striking range, close up stirking like hand traps and elbows, clinch striking, clinch, against the cage, and on the ground top. shyt we never usually see. Now imagine wtf he's gonna do off his back?? breh might pull a neck crank on DC while being mounted or a shoulder lock like Mir did or some other stupidly insane shyt and have us like

or if DC breaks one of Jone's limbs or toes or ribs and Jones taps out
i'm gonna be like http://img.pandawhale.com/86790-what-the-fukk-is-that-gif-Imgu-Cn5F.gif

I want to see a good fight too. Honestly I don't have a "preference" in who wins, I just strongly believe that Jones will :pachaha:
It would be an amazing fight if I am wrong though and that's really all I want :banderas:
