Haitians just think that for some reason they have this God given right to come to this side of the island and stay in other peoples property without permission.

Seriously, they would establish themselves in a property owned by you, and get mad and accuse you of racism if you kick them out of YOUR property.
Like Dominicans don't have history of doing that same exact shyt in other islands. :pachaha:

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Under the law, yes.

They would avoid deportation if they have the proper documentation (I.e., birth certificates). However, the DR SYSTEMATICALLY prevented citizens of Haitian descent from obtaining their birth certificates for decades so clearly those citizens will have issues proving their citizenship.

Actually...

According to a 2012 census of the 524k immigrants in the DR 95% of them had documents.

So although there were cases of Haitians being denied things at times, it wasn't as much as you make it seem.

Dude, you're the one talking out of your ass and copping mad pleas for the Dominic00n government.

First off, you're a lie. The DR constitution grants jus soli to individuals who were born in the DR. That's the law.

Second, vast video footage and media coverage has shown that the people affected by the law are citizens of Haitian descent. And the majority of these individuals were born in DR, have lived in DR their entire lives, have never been to Haiti, and speak Spanish as their first language. Miss me with that "you don't know what you're talking about" bullshyt. It's clear that you don't though.

Are you even Dominican?

The usuage of the jus soli clause was challenged in court and is why we are here today. The courts did not agree with what you're saying.

And 90% of the immigrants are Haitians.. Of course you're mostly going to see them in the coverage. But stop pretending that you know exactly what's going on. There haven't been any mass deportations and there hasn't been a poll or an analysis done of the people that were unable to register in the last year.

You simply do not know if a majority of those ppl were born on DR or not

that's the whole issue. they stripped citizenship away from people who are second, third or even fourth generation dominicans. if your great great grandparents came to the dr in 1929 and didn't have the proper documentation, than your citizenship is taken away and you can get deported.

The original ruling was 1929 but the government has softened it a great but.

They're simply asking for I'd cards, passports, birth certificates or other document to allow them to stay.

Additionally, of you don't have a document they're taking into consideration your dominance of the Spanish language, whether you're currently in school, whether you have property and several other things that link to the DR
