I think it played a huge part in him raising me and my sisters. He would always tell us that we were black, black is beautiful and be proud of it. Congolese Security Forces murdering and mass burying hundreds of people to keep their president in power is worse than the DR having immigrants file paperwork.
The mass rape of 200+ women by Sudanese Forces and the conditions in Darfur are worse than the DR having immigrants file paperwork.

I personally care that my country is pushing some backwards bullshyt policy that will uproot and completely disrupt thousands of people's lives for no other reason than the fact that our government is full of shyt. Whether it's enforced or not is part of the problem. The fact that this law is being pushed PERIOD, is the problem.
